
Mobility Technician

- Assist patients with their mobility needs by providing physical support, equipment, and assistance in moving safely and comfortably.
- Evaluate patient's physical abilities and limitations to determine appropriate mobility aids and techniques.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to develop individualized mobility plans for patients.
- Educate patients and their families on proper use of mobility aids and techniques to maintain independence.
- Monitor and assess patient's progress in mobility and make adjustments to their plan as needed.
- Maintain and keep track of equipment inventory, ensuring all equipment is in good working condition.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team regarding patient's mobility needs and progress.
- Respond promptly to patient requests for assistance with mobility.
- Document all patient interactions, progress, and any changes to their mobility plan.
- Adhere to all hospital safety and infection control protocols when assisting patients with mobility.
- Stay updated on the latest techniques and advancements in mobility aids and techniques.
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients as they work towards regaining their independence.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with patients and their families.
- Participate in training and educational opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in mobility.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure a holistic approach to patient care and recovery.
A Minimum Of Two Years Of Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting.
Proficiency In Using And Troubleshooting Various Medical Equipment, Including Wheelchairs, Walkers, And Other Mobility Aids.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Well With Patients, Staff, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
Knowledge Of Safety Regulations And Protocols For Patient Transfers And Mobility Assistance, Including Proper Body Mechanics And Infection Control.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent, With Additional Training Or Certification In Mobility Assistance Preferred.
