Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Medical Director, Employee Health & Occupational Medicine to join the Houston Methodist family. The Medical Director will provide leadership, management, and direction in the development of programs and services of Employee Health & Occupational Medicine. This is a great opportunity for a passionate individual who wants to make a real difference in the lives of the Houston Methodist family. The successful candidate will have a Medical Degree from an accredited school of medicine and be board certified in Occupational Medicine or a related field. They must also possess a valid license to practice medicine in the State of Texas, and have at least two years of experience in Occupational Medicine. Additional qualifications include excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and oversee Employee Health & Occupational Medicine programs and services.
  2. Ensure the delivery of high quality patient care.
  3. Supervise and mentor staff.
  4. Evaluate and manage employee injuries and illnesses.
  5. Monitor and evaluate employee health records and programs.
  6. Provide timely and accurate reports to management.
  7. Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures.
  8. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  9. Participate in budget planning and management.
  10. Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to achieve organizational goals.
