- Oversee and lead the adult inpatient psychiatry unit, including supervising and providing guidance to the psychiatric team.
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients, collaborating with other medical professionals and utilizing evidence-based practices.
- Ensure that all patient care is in compliance with industry standards, legal and ethical guidelines, and hospital policies and procedures.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress and effectiveness of treatment plans, adjusting as needed to ensure optimal outcomes for patients.
- Serve as a mentor and role model for staff, promoting a supportive and collaborative work environment that encourages professional growth and development.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members, recognizing and addressing any areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other medical departments and disciplines to ensure seamless and coordinated care for patients.
- Keep up-to-date with advancements and developments in the field of adult psychiatry, incorporating new knowledge and techniques into patient care.
- Participate in hospital committees and initiatives related to mental health, advocating for the needs of patients and contributing to quality improvement efforts.
- Foster positive relationships with patients and their families, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise and promoting patient satisfaction and retention.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care, adhering to all HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Act as a liaison between the psychiatric team and hospital leadership, communicating any pertinent updates, issues, and needs.
- Collaborate with the hospital's business and financial departments to manage the budget and resources of the adult inpatient psychiatry unit.
- Represent the hospital and the psychiatric unit in a professional and positive manner, both within the hospital and in the community.
- Continuously strive to improve the quality of care and services provided by the adult inpatient psychiatry unit, seeking out opportunities for growth and development.
Medical Degree (Md Or Do) From An Accredited Institution
Board Certification In Psychiatry From The American Board Of Psychiatry And Neurology
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience As A Practicing Psychiatrist
Previous Leadership Experience, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting
Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills, With The Ability To Lead And Mentor A Multidisciplinary Team Of Healthcare Professionals.
