  1. Provide compassionate and high-quality care to patients with neurological conditions.
  2. Work closely with neurologists to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  3. Utilize strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures to accurately document patient information.
  4. Perform a variety of administrative and clinical tasks, including taking vital signs, administering medications, and scheduling appointments.
  5. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure the safety and comfort of patients.
  6. Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care.
  7. Adhere to all medical and ethical standards, as well as HIPAA regulations, to protect patient confidentiality.
  8. Keep accurate and up-to-date records of patient information and medical histories.
  9. Assist in specialized procedures and treatments, such as nerve conduction studies and electromyography.
  10. Continuously learn and stay updated on advancements and changes in the field of neurology.
  11. Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families about their conditions and treatment plans.
  12. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  13. Maintain a positive and professional attitude in all interactions with patients and colleagues.
  14. Follow all safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
  15. Participate in trainings and educational opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification: A Valid Medical Assistant Certification Is Required To Work At Houston Methodist. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Completed The Necessary Education And Training To Perform Medical Assistant Duties Effectively.

  • Previous Experience: Experience Working As A Medical Assistant In A Neurology Setting Is Preferred. This Demonstrates The Candidate's Familiarity With Neurology Procedures, Equipment, And Terminology.
