
Manager Contracting- Supply Chain
As a Manager Contracting- Supply Chain at Houston Methodist, you will be responsible for the contracting of goods and services related to the supply chain of the organization. This position requires a team-player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage competing priorities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management and contracting, as well as the ability to think strategically and tactically.Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related discipline, with at least five years of experience in supply chain management and/or contracting, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Manage the contracting of goods and services related to the supply chain of the organization.
- Ensure that customer service is maintained and that standards of excellence are met.
- Analyze and solve problems within the supply chain and contracting departments.
- Maintain and update supply chain and contracting records.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency of the supply chain process.
- Monitor and review the performance of supply chain related contracts.
- Evaluate and negotiate supplier contracts.
- Monitor and analyze market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide weekly and monthly reporting to management.
