  1. Oversee and manage a team of surgical technologists, ensuring efficient and effective workflow in the operating room.
  2. Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced surgical technologists, promoting their professional development.
  3. Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
  4. Coordinate and schedule surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
  5. Maintain and update knowledge of surgical procedures, techniques, and equipment.
  6. Monitor and maintain sterile and aseptic techniques during surgical procedures.
  7. Train and educate team members on new techniques, equipment, and protocols.
  8. Ensure compliance with all safety and infection control regulations.
  9. Evaluate and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality of care.
  10. Act as a liaison between the surgical team and other departments, promoting effective communication and teamwork.
  11. Monitor inventory and supplies, and order necessary items as needed.
  12. Participate in performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
  13. Conduct regular meetings and provide updates to team members regarding changes in protocols or procedures.
  14. Serve as a role model for professionalism, ethical behavior, and patient-centered care.
  15. Remain up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in surgical technology.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification From The National Board Of Surgical Technology And Surgical Assisting (Nbstsa) As A Certified Surgical Technologist (Cst) Or Certified Surgical First Assistant (Csfa).

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience As A Surgical Technologist, With At Least 1 Year In A Leadership Or Supervisory Role.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Surgical Procedures, Instrumentation, And Equipment, As Well As A Strong Understanding Of Sterile Technique And Infection Control Protocols.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Lead And Collaborate With A Team Of Surgical Technologists, Surgeons, And Other Healthcare Professionals.

  • Proficiency In Electronic Medical Records (Emr) Systems And Computer Skills, As Well As A Commitment To Ongoing Education And Staying Up-To-Date On Advancements In Surgical Technology.
