Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced and highly organized Lead Histology Technician to join the team at Houston Methodist. In this role, you will provide mentorship and leadership to the Histology team, ensuring that all protocols are followed and standards of quality are maintained. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting equipment and monitoring lab supplies. Above all, you must be a dedicated and compassionate professional who is committed to providing excellent patient care and service. To be successful in this role, you must possess at least three years of histology experience, a certification in histology or a related field, and a commitment to continued learning and professional development. Additionally, you should have excellent communication and organizational skills, be detail-oriented, and have the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Job Qualifications
  • Excellent Organizational And Time Management Skills

  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent

  • Bachelor's Degree In Histology Preferred

  • Certification As A Histotechnologist (Ht) Or Histotechnician (Htl) By The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp)

  • Previous Experience In A Histology Laboratory

  • Knowledge Of Histology Laboratory Techniques And Procedures

  • Ability To Troubleshoot And Solve Problems Independently
