Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated Lead Application Analyst, Research & Education to join Houston Methodist's growing team. The ideal candidate for this position will have a passion for technology, a strong attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to grow and take on a leadership role within our organization.To be successful in this position, the Lead Application Analyst, Research & Education will need to have a Bachelor's degree in a related field (Computer Science, Information Systems, etc.) and 5-7 years of experience in a technical analyst role. In addition, the candidate should possess excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will also have an aptitude for learning the intricacies of complex information systems and staying up to date on the latest technology. Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the design, development, and implementation of applications and systems for research and education
  2. Analyze business and technical requirements to ensure proper system design and implementation
  3. Develop and maintain technical documentation
  4. Monitor systems performance and troubleshoot issues
  5. Develop and enforce standards for system development, implementation, and maintenance
  6. Train and mentor other application analysts in the organization
  7. Stay current on the latest technologies and trends in the field
  8. Develop processes and procedures to ensure compliance with standards and best practices
  9. Work with stakeholders to ensure the successful deployment of applications and systems
  10. Manage projects and coordinate activities with other departments
