As an Inpatient Coder, you will be responsible for accurately coding inpatient records using the ICD-10-CM/PCS classification system. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, and must also possess strong organizational and communication skills. Responsibilities:

  1. Accurately code inpatient records using the ICD-10-CM/PCS classification system.
  2. Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  3. Demonstrate a solid understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
  4. Possess strong organizational and communication skills.
  5. Utilize Microsoft Office and other coding-related software.
  6. Maintain compliance with coding industry standards and regulations.
  7. Review medical records to ensure coding accuracy and completeness.
  8. Monitor changes in coding regulations and update coding practices accordingly.
  9. Respond to coding questions from physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  10. Provide coding education and training to staff as needed.
