Job Description

As a leader in the Houston community, Houston Methodist Hospital is looking to hire a Gastroenterologist/Advanced Endoscopy specialist to join our diverse and talented team of physicians and health care professionals. We are seeking an individual who is passionate about providing the highest quality of care to patients and is committed to being an active part of our vibrant medical community.The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following qualifications: a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from an accredited medical school, board certification/eligibility in Gastroenterology, and a minimum of five years of experience in Endoscopy. Candidates should possess an understanding of current trends in Gastroenterology and be willing to stay up to date with the latest advances in the field. In addition, the successful applicant must have excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.We are looking forward to finding a dedicated, knowledgeable, and compassionate Gastroenterologist/Advanced Endoscopy specialist to join the Houston Methodist team!

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high quality care to patients with gastroenterological conditions
  • Stay up to date with the latest advances in gastroenterology and endoscopy
  • Perform endoscopic procedures on patients to diagnose and treat their conditions
  • Maintain accurate patient records according to hospital protocol
  • Collaborate with other health care professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients
  • Educate patients and their families about their conditions and treatment options
  • Work with insurance companies to ensure that patients receive the care they need
  • Participate in research and clinical trials to improve the field of gastroenterology
