Job Description

We are seeking a Financial Analyst - Orthopedics to join the Houston Methodist team and provide financial analysis support to our Orthopedics department. This is an integral role that requires a combination of analytical, communication, and project management skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial analysis and reporting, creating and maintaining budgets, and ensuring that financial practices are in accordance with Houston Methodist policies. To be considered, you must have a minimum of three years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and/or cost accounting; a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; and the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to varied audiences. Experience working in the healthcare industry is a plus. We are looking for someone with an eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide financial analysis and reporting to the Orthopedics department.
  2. Create and maintain budgets in accordance with Houston Methodist policies.
  3. Monitor financial performance and identify areas of improvement.
  4. Forecast future financial trends and analyze their impact.
  5. Prepare financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  6. Develop and implement financial models to optimize performance.
  7. Communicate complex financial information to varied audiences.
  8. Maintain an organized and up-to-date financial records system.
  9. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
  10. Monitor and evaluate financial risks.
