Financial Analyst

The Financial Analyst at Houston Methodist is an integral part of the organization, providing financial planning, analysis, and guidance to support the success of the organization. The successful candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively with a wide range of staff and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

1. Analyze financial data to produce forecasts and develop financial models, including pro forma statements, income projections, and balance sheets.
2. Monitor and analyze financial performance to identify potential opportunities and risks.
3. Develop and maintain budgets, cash flow projections, and financial reports.
4. Develop and maintain internal cost control systems.
5. Prepare financial statements and provide strategic analysis of financial results.
6. Assist in the development of financial plans and models for long-term financial goals.
7. Analyze industry trends and changes in regulations to assess their impact on the organization’s financial health.
8. Develop, implement, and monitor internal policies and controls to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
9. Provide financial and operational support to senior management and other departments.
10. Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers.
11. Provide training and mentoring to team members.
12. Collaborate with other departments to identify and resolve financial discrepancies.
