Distribution Technician

Houston Methodist is looking for an experienced Distribution Technician to join our team and take on a challenging and rewarding role. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized and detail-oriented professional with a proven track record of success in the distribution field. We are seeking a candidate with a minimum of two years of experience in the medical supply and distribution field, or equivalent. The successful candidate must have exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge and experience with inventory control systems, database software, and healthcare supply chain management is highly desirable. The successful candidate must have excellent customer service and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively. A valid driver’s license is also required.

Responsibilities:

1. Receive and process orders for medical supplies and equipment.
2. Distribute medical supplies and equipment to appropriate locations.
3. Monitor and maintain inventory levels.
4. Ensure accuracy of inventory and supply records.
5. Develop and implement inventory control systems.
6. Maintain databases of medical supply and equipment records.
7. Maintain clean and orderly work environment.
8. Assist with periodic inventory counts.
9. Follow safety protocols and procedures.
10. Provide excellent customer service and communication.
11. Work collaboratively and independently.
12. Operate a company vehicle (valid driver’s license required).
