
Director - Patient Access Services
The Houston Methodist team is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Director of Patient Access Services to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the Patient Access Services (PAS) division which includes patient registration, scheduling, financial clearance, customer service, and revenue cycle operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of experience in the healthcare industry and a passion for providing outstanding service to our patients.The required qualifications for this position include: a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field and a minimum of five years of experience in a leadership role in hospital patient access services. You should also have a strong financial acumen, excellent problem-solving and organizational skills, and experience working with complex healthcare technologies. Additionally, you must have a commitment to our mission to provide exceptional patient care and excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the Patient Access Services (PAS) division, including patient registration, scheduling, financial clearance, customer service, and revenue cycle operations.
- Develop and implement effective strategies for improving operational efficiency and patient experience.
- Manage the financial performance of the Patient Access Services division.
- Monitor and analyze patient access performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and laws.
- Oversee the selection, training, and development of personnel within the division.
- Develop and maintain relationships with other departments within the healthcare organization.
- Communicate regularly with leadership to ensure alignment between strategic objectives and operational activities.
- Implement, monitor, and evaluate process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient access services.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills
Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration Or A Related Field
At Least Years Of Experience In A Leadership Role Within A Patient Access Services Department
Knowledge Of The Principles Of Healthcare Finance
Experience In A Healthcare System With Multiple Campuses
