Director, IT Security Operations

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Director, IT Security Operations to join our information technology team and lead the security operations of Houston Methodist. This individual will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive security strategy and program to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in IT security operations, compliance, and risk management, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. A strong understanding of security best practices, regulatory compliance, and technical knowledge of systems, networks, and applications are essential for success in this role.We seek someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. 8. Provide ongoing guidance on security issues to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
9. Monitor security compliance and audit reports.
10. Perform periodic security review and vulnerability assessments.
