Job Description

The Houston Methodist is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Director - CDI Program to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) program. You will provide leadership and supervision to the CDI team to ensure that documentation meets regulatory standards and supports the accuracy of clinical data. To be successful in this role, you must have excellent communication and organizational skills, a comprehensive knowledge of best practices for CDI, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-focused environment. Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, implement, and evaluate the Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) program.
  2. Lead and supervise the CDI team to ensure documentation meets regulatory standards and supports the accuracy of clinical data.
  3. Monitor and analyze clinical data and documentation to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  4. Develop and implement strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices for CDI.
  5. Manage and coordinate activities of CDI team members, including setting goals and objectives, assigning tasks, and providing feedback.
  6. Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  7. Prepare and present reports on the performance of the CDI program.
  8. Monitor and evaluate the performance of the CDI program and identify areas for improvement.
  9. Participate in committees and meetings to discuss CDI program and initiatives.
  10. Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective and efficient workflow processes.
