Job Description

Houston Methodist is looking for an experienced and dynamic leader to join our team as Director, Access and Scheduling. Reporting to the Vice President of Access and Revenue Cycle, the Director, Access and Scheduling will be responsible for developing and overseeing the organization’s strategies for patient access, scheduling, and revenue cycle operations.The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a healthcare access, scheduling, and/or revenue cycle operations role, and will possess a combination of strong operational, financial, and leadership skills. Responsibilities for this job include:

  1. Develop and oversee strategies for patient access, scheduling, and revenue cycle operations.
  2. Lead various stakeholders towards successful outcomes.
  3. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
  4. Monitor and analyze patient access, scheduling, and revenue cycle operations performance.
  5. Develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  6. Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  7. Train and mentor staff on access, scheduling, and revenue cycle operations.
  8. Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate reporting and data analysis.
  9. Monitor and analyze industry trends, and develop strategies to stay ahead of the competition.
  10. Develop and manage access, scheduling, and revenue cycle operations budgets.
