We are looking for a talented and passionate Development Specialist – Foundation Donor Relations to join the Houston Methodist team. This role is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic group of professionals working to make a difference in the lives of our patients and our community. The successful candidate will have a strong background in donor relations, fundraising, and philanthropy.The ideal candidate should possess excellent interpersonal, public speaking, written and verbal communication, and organizational skills. The candidate must be able to work well in a fast-paced environment, be comfortable working independently and collaboratively with colleagues, and have the ability to manage multiple demands and projects. Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain relationships with donors to ensure long-term philanthropic engagement.
  2. Oversee and manage donor relations activities, including outreach, stewardship, cultivation, and recognition.
  3. Assist with the development and implementation of donor recognition programs and activities.
  4. Develop and deliver presentations to donors, prospects, and other stakeholders.
  5. Create and implement strategies for increasing donor engagement and participation.
  6. Monitor donor giving trends and provide regular data reporting.
  7. Develop strategies for engaging and activating major donors and prospects.
  8. Manage and track donor data, including contact information, giving history, and engagement activities.
  9. Collaborate with other teams to ensure efficient and effective donor relations operations.
  10. Assist with gift processing and donor acknowledgement activities.
