  1. Conduct job evaluations to determine appropriate job classifications and salary levels for positions within the organization.
  2. Conduct market analysis to ensure the organization's compensation plans are competitive and aligned with industry standards.
  3. Develop and implement compensation strategies and programs that attract and retain top talent.
  4. Collaborate with HR and leadership to review and update job descriptions to accurately reflect job duties and responsibilities.
  5. Advise and educate managers and employees on compensation policies and procedures.
  6. Monitor and analyze compensation trends and make recommendations for adjustments to compensation plans as needed.
  7. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to compensation and pay equity.
  8. Participate in salary surveys to gather data and benchmark compensation plans against similar organizations.
  9. Review and approve salary offers for new hires and promotions.
  10. Provide guidance and support for the annual performance review and merit increase process.
  11. Develop and maintain compensation metrics and reports to track the effectiveness of compensation programs.
  12. Continuously evaluate and improve compensation processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  13. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to compensation and communicate findings to leadership.
  14. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee compensation information with discretion.
  15. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless and consistent approach to compensation across the organization.

This Requires Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, As Well As The Ability To Use Data To Make Informed Decisions And Recommendations.

  • Experience With Job Evaluation And Market Analysis: Houston Methodist's Compensation Consultant - Hybrid Should Have Experience Conducting Job Evaluations And Market Analysis To Determine Appropriate Salary Ranges And Ensure The Organization's Compensation Practices Are Competitive. This Includes Knowledge Of Industry Benchmarks And Compensation Trends.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: This Role Involves Working Closely With Hr Leaders, Executives, And Employees At All Levels. Therefore, A Compensation Consultant - Hybrid Should Possess Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Communicate Complex Compensation Concepts And Build Relationships With Stakeholders.

  • Knowledge Of State And Federal Labor Laws: A Compensation Consultant - Hybrid Should Have A Strong Understanding Of State And Federal Labor Laws, Including The Fair Labor Standards Act (Flsa) And Equal Pay Act, To Ensure Houston Methodist's Compensation Practices Are Compliant.
