- Participate in coding meetings and committees to contribute to the development and improvement of coding processes.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations when handling patient information.
- Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and stay current on industry trends and updates.
Extensive Knowledge Of Coding And Billing Guidelines: A Coding Quality Auditor At Houston Methodist Should Possess A Thorough Understanding Of Coding And Billing Guidelines For Various Healthcare Services, Including Cpt, Icd-10, And Hcpcs Codes.
Certified Professional Coder (Cpc) Or Certified Coding Specialist (Ccs) Certification: A Qualified Candidate For This Role Should Hold A Cpc Or Ccs Certification From The American Academy Of Professional Coders (Aapc) Or The American Health Information Management Association (Ahima).
Experience In Medical Coding And Auditing: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Medical Coding And Auditing, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting.
