Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Clinical Research Nurse - Vascular to join the Houston Methodist team. Our ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient care and research excellence. They will have acute clinical skills and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a team-oriented, collaborative setting and have a customer service mindset.The successful candidate must possess a minimum of a BSN degree and a current registered nurse license in the state of Texas. Additionally, at least one year of clinical research experience is required, preferably in vascular nursing. The ideal candidate will have experience with vascular research protocols and possess excellent communication, organizational and problem solving skills. Knowledge of IRB regulations and requirements is essential. The successful candidate will have the ability to think critically and be highly organized, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide exceptional patient care while adhering to clinical research protocols.
  2. Maintain a professional and collaborative attitude when working with members of the research team.
  3. Utilize acute clinical skills to assess and diagnose patient conditions.
  4. Develop and maintain research protocols and standards for vascular research.
  5. Ensure compliance with IRB standards and regulations.
  6. Monitor and record patient data and progress according to research protocols.
  7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and research outcomes.
  8. Communicate and report clinical research findings to stakeholders.
  9. Remain current on advancements in vascular research and provide appropriate education and guidance to staff.
  10. Provide guidance and support to junior research nurses.
