Charge Nurse (RN) Labor & Delivery Nights

1. Lead and manage a team of nurses and support staff on the night shift in the Labor & Delivery unit.
2. Provide exceptional care to laboring and postpartum patients, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
3. Act as a role model for the nursing staff, demonstrating professionalism, compassion, and dedication to patient care.
4. Utilize strong critical thinking skills to assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans.

7. Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.

9. Serve as a resource for nursing staff, providing guidance and support for complex patient cases.
10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in the development and implementation of best practices for patient care.
11. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to promote positive outcomes and patient satisfaction.
12. Stay current with advancements and best practices in labor and delivery nursing, and share knowledge with the team.
13. Act as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare providers to address any concerns or issues that arise.
14. Mentor and train new nurses and support staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development.
15. Adhere to ethical and legal standards of practice and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
