Job Description

The Houston Methodist is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Certified Hand Therapist to provide excellent care to our patients. As a key member of our team, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing treatment, assessments, and education for patients with upper extremity conditions, as well as designing and implementing rehabilitation programs. This position requires a person with strong organizational and communication skills, as well as a commitment to providing a high level of care. Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years’ experience in hand therapy, possess a valid state license as an Occupational or Physical Therapist, and be credentialed as a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) from the Hand Therapy Certification Commission. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide comprehensive treatment, assessments, and education to patients with upper extremity conditions.
  2. Design and implement individualized rehabilitation programs for patients.
  3. Maintain strong organizational and communication skills.
  4. Provide a high level of care to patients.
  5. Maintain a valid state license as an Occupational and/or Physical Therapist.
  6. Possess a credential as a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) from the Hand Therapy Certification Commission.
  7. Demonstrate a passion for helping patients reclaim their independence and quality of life.
