- Perform surgical procedures for breast cancer and other breast conditions, utilizing advanced surgical techniques and technology.
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations and consultations to determine the best treatment plan for each individual.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, and plastic surgeons to provide comprehensive care for patients.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and research in the field of breast surgery to continuously improve patient outcomes.
- Manage and coordinate the care of patients throughout the entire treatment process, including pre-operative, operative, and post-operative care.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing them with information and support throughout their treatment journey.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records and documentation.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and develop treatment plans.
- Educate patients on self-care and post-operative instructions to ensure a successful recovery.
- Adhere to all hospital and departmental policies and protocols to ensure patient safety and quality of care.
- Participate in research initiatives and clinical trials to further advance medical knowledge in the field of breast surgery.
- Mentor and train residents and medical students in breast surgery techniques and practices.
- Continuously evaluate and improve surgical techniques and processes to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Attend conferences and seminars to stay updated on the latest developments and advancements in breast surgery.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations.
Medical Degree (Md Or Do) From An Accredited Institution
Completion Of A Residency In General Surgery
Board Certification In Surgery By The American Board Of Surgery
Fellowship Training In Breast Surgery Or Equivalent Experience
Current And Valid State Medical License In Texas, Or Eligibility To Obtain One
