Bioinformatician - Urology

We are seeking a highly motivated Bioinformatics Scientist to join the Urology Team at Houston Methodist. The successful candidate will have strong technical and scientific skills, an ability to think critically and collaborate effectively, and excellent communication skills.The ideal candidate has a PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or a related field with a strong background in the analysis of genomic data and the development of bioinformatics tools and pipelines. The candidate will also have experience with scripting languages such as R/Python, and a working knowledge of databases and the Linux operating system. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate and present their work to a multidisciplinary team of researchers.

Responsibilities:

1. Analyze genomic data and develop bioinformatics tools and pipelines.
