  3. Provide administrative support to the department, including scheduling meetings, maintaining records, and managing budgets.
  4. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote academic excellence and advance the reputation of the department.
  5. Stay up-to-date on the latest developments and advancements in the field of neurology and incorporate them into educational programs.
  6. Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and make recommendations for improvement.
  7. Coordinate and facilitate guest lectures, conferences, and other educational events.
  8. Manage communication and correspondence related to the department’s academic pursuits.
  9. Assist with recruitment and onboarding of new faculty members and trainees.
  10. Maintain accurate and detailed records of educational programs, research activities, and faculty accomplishments.
  11. Serve as a liaison between the department and other academic departments, institutions, and organizations.
  12. Continuously assess and improve processes related to academic activities in the department.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Neurology: A Strong Qualification For An Academic Coordinator - Neurology At Houston Methodist Would Be An Advanced Degree In Neurology, Such As A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Or Doctor Of Osteopathic Medicine (Do). This Level Of Education Provides A Solid Foundation In The Field Of Neurology And Demonstrates A Deep Understanding Of The Subject Matter.

  • Teaching Experience: As An Academic Coordinator, It Is Essential To Have Experience In Teaching And Mentoring Students, Residents, And Fellows.
