  1. Develop and maintain storage and backup systems that meet the company's needs and standards.
  2. Monitor and troubleshoot storage and backup systems to ensure optimal performance.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement storage and backup solutions.
  4. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to continuously improve storage and backup systems.
  5. Create and maintain documentation for storage and backup processes, procedures, and configurations.
  6. Work closely with vendors to evaluate and implement new storage and backup technologies.
  7. Ensure data security and compliance with company policies and regulations.
  8. Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing to minimize potential risks.
  9. Train and mentor junior engineers on storage and backup best practices and procedures.
  10. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide updates and recommendations on storage and backup systems.
  11. Proactively identify and resolve any issues or risks related to storage and backup systems.
  12. Implement and maintain backup schedules and procedures to ensure data availability and integrity.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Experience With Storage And Backup Technologies: A Senior Storage-Backup Engineer At Hp Should Have A Deep Understanding And Practical Knowledge Of Various Storage And Backup Systems, Including But Not Limited To San, Nas, And Tape Libraries.

  • Strong Troubleshooting Skills: As A Senior Member Of The Team, The Engineer Should Possess Excellent Problem-Solving Abilities And Be Able To Quickly Identify And Resolve Issues Related To Storage And Backup Systems.

  • Knowledge Of Hp Storage Products: Hp Is A Leading Provider Of Storage Solutions, And A Senior Storage-Backup Engineer Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Hp Storage Products, Such As Hpe 3Par And Hpe Storeonce.

  • Project Management Experience: In Addition To Technical Expertise, A Senior Storage-Backup Engineer Should Have Experience Managing Complex Projects, Including Planning, Implementation, And Testing Of Storage And Backup Systems.

  • Communication And Leadership Skills: As A Senior Role, The Engineer Should Have Excellent Communication Skills And The Ability To Lead A Team Of Engineers. They Should Also Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Stakeholders And Present Technical Concepts In A Clear And Concise Manner.
