Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic and highly motivated Principal Embedded Systems Software Engineer to join the Hewlett-Packard/HP team! The ideal candidate for this role will have an exceptional blend of analytical, technical and leadership skills, coupled with the ability to think creatively and solve complex problems.The successful candidate will have a strong background in embedded software engineering and a track record of successful project delivery. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to mentor and lead a team of software engineers. The Principal Embedded Systems Software Engineer will have a critical role in the development of HP’s products and services.Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field• Minimum 10 years of experience in software engineering• Proven experience in developing embedded software and systems• Expertise in embedded software development, including C and assembly languages• Experience in debugging and optimization of embedded systems• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Ability to manage multiple projects and conflicting priorities• Ability to lead and mentor a team of software engineers• Ability to think creatively and solve complex problems

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop embedded software and systems for HP products and services • Utilize C and assembly languages for embedded software development • Debug and optimize embedded systems and software • Mentor and lead a team of software engineers • Manage multiple projects and conflicting priorities • Develop high-level and detailed technical design documents • Research and evaluate new technologies and tools • Create and maintain technical documentation • Ensure compliance with software engineering standards and best practices
