  1. Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of all equipment within the federal data centers.
  2. Ensure compliance with all federal regulations and standards related to data center operations.
  3. Monitor and analyze server and network performance to identify and resolve any issues or potential problems.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and implement upgrades, expansions, and other changes to the data center infrastructure.
  5. Develop and maintain detailed documentation of all data center processes and procedures.
  6. Ensure the security and integrity of all data stored in the federal data centers.
  7. Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure the data centers are operating efficiently and effectively.
  8. Stay current with industry trends and advancements in technology to continuously improve data center operations.
  9. Act as a point of contact for our federal clients, responding to any inquiries or issues in a timely and professional manner.
  10. Train and mentor junior data center technicians to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  11. Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to procure necessary equipment and supplies for the data centers.
  12. Assist with the development and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  13. Maintain a clean and organized data center environment to ensure the safety and functionality of all equipment.
  14. Participate in on-call rotation and respond to any data center emergencies outside of regular business hours.
  15. Continuously seek opportunities to improve data center processes and procedures to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

  • Knowledge Of Federal Government Data Center Standards: A Federal Data Center Technician At Hp Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of The Standards And Guidelines Set By The Federal Government For Data Center Operations. This Includes Knowledge Of Security Protocols, Compliance Requirements, And Best Practices For Maintaining Critical Infrastructure.

  • Technical Expertise: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Possess A Strong Technical Background In Data Center Operations And Management. This Includes Knowledge Of Server Hardware, Networking, Virtualization, Storage, And Other Key Components Of A Data Center Environment.

  • Experience With Hp Technologies: As A Leading Technology Company, Hp Has A Wide Range Of Products And Solutions That Are Commonly Used In Data Centers. A Federal Data Center Technician Should Have Experience With Hp Technologies And Be Able To Troubleshoot And Resolve Issues Efficiently.

  • Security Clearance: Due To The Sensitive Nature Of The Data And Operations Within A Federal Data Center, Hp Requires Its Technicians To Have A Current Security Clearance. This May Include A Background Check, Drug Test, And Other Security Measures.

  • Communication And Collaboration Skills: Working In A Data Center Environment Requires Collaboration With Team Members, Customers, And Other Stakeholders. A Federal Data Center Technician Should Have Excellent Communication Skills And Be Able To Work Effectively In A Team Setting. They Should Also Be Able To Communicate Technical Information To Non-Technical Individuals In A Clear And Concise Manner.
