Laboratory Research Specialist

Perform advanced laboratory research activities in molecular biology and biochemistry related to : tissue culture, cell counting, isolation and cryopreservation, and biological functional assays. Administer day-to-day laboratory operations including monitoring the budget, ensuring quality control and safety compliance, developing policies and procedures, and ordering supplies. Conduct background research and participates in research design, editing and preparing manuscripts, scientific illustrations and computer graphics for publication. Contribute to the preparation of journal articles and grant proposals. May assist with presenting research findings. Contributes to the continuing education and training of other personnel, students and research fellows in the performance of laboratory techniques.
