Assistant Branch Manager

Implements and interprets library policies for library users and staff, supervises and motivates staff, models and promotes exceptional customer service, and engages the community to ensure services meet customer needs and are aligned with the library and department strategy. Interviews, trains, supervises, schedules, coaches, mentors, and evaluates staff. Develops and manages the department's planned expenditures, including gift funds, when applicable; identify grant opportunities. Supervises the library in the absence of the Branch Director. Develops and maintains rapport with external stakeholders, including the library Friends. Prepares reports to compile and analyze department's statistics Attends staff and administrative meetings, activities, and/or professional conferences, and actively serves on committees. Researches and applies for grant opportunities.
