Senior Sales Tax Accountant

Our ideal candidate is a self-starter with an eye for detail and superior organizational skills. The Senior Sales Tax Accountant will be responsible for managing our sales tax compliance, ensuring accuracy and timely filing of all sales tax returns, and providing guidance to the Sales & Use Tax team.The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in sales and use tax compliance, with experience in a multi-state environment preferred. A Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, CPA and/or Master's degree in taxation is strongly preferred. Responsibilities:

1. Manage all sales tax compliance, ensuring accuracy and timely filing of all sales tax returns.
2. Provide guidance and support to the Sales & Use Tax team.
3. Monitor state and local sales tax rules and regulations.
4. Analyze financial data and transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws.
5. Prepare and submit detailed sales and use tax returns and related documents.
6. Research and analyze complex sales and use tax issues.
7. Maintain and update sales and use tax records.
8. Consult with internal departments to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
9. Resolve any sales and use tax audit and assessment issues.
10. Develop and implement internal controls to ensure accurate tax returns and payments.
