Job Description

As a Power Distribution Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient distribution of electrical power throughout our facilities. This position requires a strong understanding of electrical systems and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve any power distribution issues that may arise.   1. Perform regular maintenance and inspections on all power distribution systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  2. Troubleshoot and resolve any electrical issues that may arise, including power outages or equipment malfunctions.
  3. Install, repair, and maintain all electrical equipment related to power distribution, including transformers, switchgear, and control systems.
  4. Monitor and maintain proper voltage levels and electrical loads to prevent overloading and potential hazards.
  5. Collaborate with other team members to plan and execute power distribution projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to safety protocols.
  6. Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, including equipment readings, inspections, and work orders.
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry standards and regulations related to power distribution and implement necessary changes to ensure compliance.
  8. Train and mentor junior technicians on power distribution systems and procedures.
  9. Communicate effectively with other departments and personnel to coordinate power distribution activities and minimize downtime.
  10. Prioritize safety in all aspects of the job, including following proper lockout/tagout procedures and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
