  1. Develop and implement category strategies that align with overall company objectives and drive success in the oil and gas industry.
  2. Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers, market trends, and best practices within the specialized category.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sourcing, operations, and finance, to ensure effective category management and supplier relationships.
  4. Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and delivery of goods and services.
  5. Monitor and track key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of category strategies and identify areas for improvement.
  6. Stay current on industry developments, regulations, and market conditions to anticipate potential impacts on the specialized category.
  7. Communicate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to provide updates, address issues, and maintain strong relationships.
  8. Identify and implement cost-saving and process improvement opportunities within the specialized category.
  9. Train and mentor junior team members on category management processes and best practices.
  10. Represent the company in industry events and conferences to network and stay informed on emerging trends and technologies.

Job Qualifications
  • Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills, With The Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships With Suppliers And Internal Stakeholders.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Relevant Field Such As Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Or Engineering.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Procurement Or Sourcing, Preferably In The Oil And Gas Industry.

  • Knowledge Of Category Management Principles And Experience In Developing And Implementing Category Strategies.

  • Strong Analytical Skills And Ability To Use Data To Drive Decision Making.
