- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer needs and requirements, and translate them into technical solutions.
- Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance and support to help them grow and excel in their roles.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members to ensure a high-performing and motivated team.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in technology, and apply them to continuously improve our products and services.
- Develop and maintain engineering processes and best practices to ensure efficient and high-quality delivery of projects.
- Communicate project progress and challenges to stakeholders, including senior management, in a clear and timely manner.
- Identify and address technical roadblocks, and provide creative solutions to overcome them.
- Collaborate with product managers to define project scope, timelines, and success criteria.
- Participate in the recruitment process to attract top engineering talent and build a diverse and inclusive team.
Extensive Experience In Managing The Payroll Process: A Sr Engineering Manager At Gusto Must Have A Deep Understanding Of The End-To-End Payroll Process, Including Tax Compliance, Benefits Administration, And Employee Onboarding. They Should Have At Least 8-10 Years Of Experience In Managing Payroll For A Large Organization.
Strong Technical Background: As A Sr Engineering Manager, It Is Essential To Have A Strong Technical Background In Software Engineering And Data Management. This Includes Experience With Programming Languages, Databases, And Cloud-Based Systems. A Degree In Computer Science Or A Related Field Is Also Highly Preferred.
Leadership And Team Management Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Leading And Managing Teams. They Should Have Experience In Hiring, Mentoring, And Developing Engineers, As Well As Defining Team Goals And Driving Results.
