1. Lead the development and launch of our embedded payroll product, ensuring it meets the needs and expectations of small business owners.
2. Drive innovation and constantly seek ways to improve and simplify the payroll process for our customers.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, and marketing to develop and execute product strategy.
4. Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs and preferences, and use this information to inform product decisions.
5. Define and prioritize product features, create product roadmaps, and manage the product backlog.
6. Work closely with engineering teams to define and communicate product requirements, and ensure timely and high-quality product delivery.
7. Communicate product updates and progress to stakeholders, including senior leadership and external partners.
8. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and technology advancements related to payroll management.
9. Lead and mentor a team of product managers, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
10. Collaborate with sales and customer success teams to gather customer feedback and use it to drive product improvements.
11. Ensure timely and successful product launches, and track and report on key product metrics.
12. Represent Gusto at industry events and conferences, showcasing our embedded payroll product and promoting our brand.
13. Act as a subject matter expert on payroll processes and regulations, and use this expertise to guide product development.
14. Continuously monitor and analyze product performance, and make recommendations for improvements and optimizations.
15. Champion a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the product team and across the organization.
