Job Description

Are you a detail-oriented and analytical individual with a strong understanding of payroll compliance laws? Do you have experience managing complex payroll processes and ensuring accuracy and compliance? If so, we at Gusto are looking for a Senior Payroll Compliance Analyst to join our growing team. As a Senior Payroll Compliance Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our clients' payroll processes are in compliance with state and federal regulations. Your expertise will be critical in providing guidance and support to both our internal teams and our clients to ensure the accuracy and compliance of their payroll operations.   1. Conduct thorough research and stay up-to-date on all federal and state payroll compliance laws and regulations.
  2. Ensure that all payroll processes and procedures are in compliance with current laws and regulations.
  3. Analyze and interpret complex payroll data to identify any potential compliance issues.
  4. Develop and implement strategies to ensure compliance with changing laws and regulations.
  5. Provide guidance and support to internal teams and clients on payroll compliance matters.
  6. Review and approve all payroll processes and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  7. Conduct audits of payroll processes and records to identify any potential compliance issues.
  8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new payroll compliance initiatives.
  9. Serve as the primary point of contact for all payroll compliance-related inquiries.
  10. Train and mentor junior payroll compliance analysts on best practices and procedures.
  11. Communicate any updates or changes in compliance laws and regulations to internal teams and clients.
  12. Monitor and track compliance-related metrics and report on any discrepancies or issues.
  13. Work closely with the legal and finance departments to ensure adherence to all payroll compliance laws and regulations.
  14. Participate in industry conferences and events to stay current on best practices and trends in payroll compliance.
  15. Continuously assess and improve payroll compliance processes and procedures to ensure maximum efficiency and accuracy.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Knowledge And Experience In Payroll Compliance Regulations And Laws, Including Federal, State, And Local Tax Regulations.

  • Strong Analytical Skills And Attention To Detail, With The Ability To Accurately Interpret And Apply Complex Payroll Data.

  • Demonstrated Experience In Developing And Implementing Payroll Compliance Processes And Procedures.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Communicate Compliance Updates To Stakeholders.

  • Prior Experience With Payroll Software, Such As Gusto, And Proficiency In Microsoft Excel And Other Data Analysis Tools.
