As the Lead Product Manager, you will play a crucial role in providing small businesses with the tools they need to navigate the complex world of tax credits.   1. Lead the development and execution of the Tax Credits product, ensuring that it aligns with the company's overall vision and goals.
  2. Conduct thorough market research and gather customer feedback to identify opportunities for product improvement and innovation.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, sales, and marketing to define product roadmap and prioritize features.
  4. Stay up-to-date with tax laws and regulations to ensure the product is compliant and meets the needs of our customers.
  5. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the small business market and customer needs to ensure the product meets their specific requirements.
  6. Set clear goals and objectives for the product and work with the team to achieve them in a timely manner.
  7. Act as the main point of contact for all product-related questions and provide guidance to the team on product strategy and direction.
  8. Manage and mentor a team of product managers, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to deliver high-quality products.
  9. Continuously monitor and analyze product performance, and make data-driven decisions to drive product improvements and optimizations.
  10. Communicate product updates and progress to the company's executive team and stakeholders on a regular basis.
  11. Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to create effective product messaging and positioning.
  12. Conduct competitor analysis and stay informed about industry trends to identify potential areas of growth and differentiate our product from competitors.
  13. Uphold company values and culture, and foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the product team.

Job Qualifications
  • Comprehensive Knowledge Of Tax Credits And Incentives: A Lead Product Manager For Tax Credits At Gusto Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Various Tax Credits And Incentives Available To Businesses, Particularly In The Payroll And Hr Space.

  • Experience In Product Management: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Several Years Of Experience In Product Management, Preferably In The Fintech Or Hr Industry. They Should Have A Track Record Of Successfully Launching And Managing Products From Ideation To Launch.

  • Strong Leadership Skills: As A Lead Product Manager, This Role Will Involve Managing A Team Of Product Managers And Cross-Functional Teams. Therefore, The Candidate Should Have Excellent Leadership Skills, Including The Ability To Motivate And Guide Team Members Towards A Common Goal.

  • Data-Driven Approach: The Lead Product Manager Must Be Able To Use Data To Make Informed Decisions About Product Strategy And Direction. They Should Have Experience With Product Analytics Tools And The Ability To Interpret Data To Identify Trends And Insights.

  • Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills: This Role Will Require Working Closely With Various Teams, Including Engineering, Design, Sales, And Customer Success. Therefore, The Ideal Candidate Should Have Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills To Effectively Work With Cross-Functional Teams And Stakeholders.
