  1. Lead the engineering team responsible for developing and enhancing the CX platform at Gusto.
  2. Set a clear and strategic vision for the CX Platform, aligned with the company's mission and goals.
  3. Drive the development and implementation of new features and functionality on the CX platform, constantly seeking ways to improve the customer experience.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the CX platform is integrated seamlessly with other systems and processes.
  5. Manage the budget and resources allocated to the CX engineering team, ensuring efficient and effective use.
  6. Hire, train, and develop a high-performing team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
  7. Set and track performance goals for the team, providing regular feedback and coaching to drive growth and development.
  8. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in customer experience and technology, and leverage this knowledge to drive innovation within the team.
  9. Work closely with product managers and designers to translate business requirements and customer needs into technical solutions.
  10. Act as a technical advisor to other teams and leaders within the company, providing guidance and insights on the CX platform and its capabilities.
  11. Proactively identify and address any technical challenges or roadblocks that may hinder the delivery of a great customer experience.
  12. Ensure the CX platform is reliable, scalable, and secure, meeting the highest standards of quality and performance.
  13. Communicate progress, updates, and challenges to senior leadership, providing recommendations for improvement and driving alignment with company goals.
  14. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the team and the company as a whole.
  15. Represent Gusto's engineering team to external stakeholders, showcasing the company's commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences through technology.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Software Engineering: The Ideal Candidate For Head Of Engineering, Cx Platform At Gusto Should Have A Strong Background In Software Engineering, With At Least 10 Years Of Experience In Developing And Managing Complex Software Projects.

  • Leadership And Management Skills: As The Head Of Engineering, Cx Platform, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team Of Engineers And Overseeing The Development Of Gusto's Customer Experience Platform. Therefore, Strong Leadership And Management Skills Are Essential Qualifications For This Role.

  • Strong Technical Expertise: In Addition To Leadership Abilities, The Ideal Candidate Should Also Possess Strong Technical Expertise In Areas Such As Web Development, Cloud Computing, And Database Management. This Will Enable Them To Make Informed Decisions And Provide Technical Guidance To Their Team.

  • Strategic Thinking And Problem-Solving Abilities: The Head Of Engineering, Cx Platform At Gusto Will Be Required To Think Strategically And Proactively Identify Potential Issues And Opportunities For Improvement In The Customer Experience Platform.
