
Instructional Assistant - Introduction to General, Organic, and Biochemistry

- Assist the main instructor in developing and delivering course content for Introduction to General, Organic, and Biochemistry.
- Provide support to students in understanding and mastering course material.
- Facilitate group discussions and engage students in interactive learning activities.
- Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback to the main instructor.
- Collaborate with other instructional assistants and instructors to ensure consistency and effectiveness in course delivery.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of general, organic, and biochemistry concepts and be able to effectively explain them to students.
- Prepare and grade assignments, quizzes, and exams.
- Assist in the setup and maintenance of laboratory experiments and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with students and respond to their academic inquiries and concerns.
- Collaborate with the main instructor to develop and implement strategies for student success.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
- Uphold academic integrity and ethical standards in all aspects of the job.

- Attend course meetings and provide input on course improvement and development.
Bachelor's Degree In Chemistry Or Related Field: A Strong Foundation In Chemistry Is Essential For An Instructional Assistant In This Role. A Bachelor's Degree In Chemistry Or A Related Field Demonstrates A Solid Understanding Of General, Organic, And Biochemistry Concepts.
Teaching Or Tutoring Experience: Previous Experience In Teaching Or Tutoring, Especially In The Field Of Chemistry, Is A Valuable Qualification For An Instructional Assistant. This Experience Shows The Ability To Effectively Communicate Complex Concepts To Students.
Knowledge Of Instructional Technology: With The Increasing Use Of Technology In Education, It Is Important For An Instructional Assistant To Have Knowledge Of Instructional Technology. This Includes Proficiency In Using Learning Management Systems, Online Teaching Tools, And Multimedia Resources.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As An Instructional Assistant, You Will Be Working Closely With Students And Faculty. Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Necessary For Effectively Collaborating With Others And Providing Support To Students.
