Job Description

Welcome to GoDaddy, the world's largest domain name registrar and web hosting company. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SOC Analyst to join our dynamic and growing team. As a SOC Analyst at GoDaddy, you will be responsible for protecting our customers and infrastructure from cyber threats by monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security events. We are looking for individuals with a strong background in cybersecurity, a passion for staying ahead of emerging threats, and a drive to continuously improve our security posture. If you are a proactive problem-solver with a strong attention to detail, we would love to have you on our team.

  1. Monitor and analyze security events to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  2. Respond to security incidents in a timely and effective manner to minimize impact and damage.
  3. Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify weaknesses and areas for improvement.
  4. Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure the protection of customer data and infrastructure.
  5. Stay up-to-date on the latest security trends, threats, and vulnerabilities, and proactively identify and mitigate potential risks.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security solutions and enhancements.
  7. Conduct regular vulnerability scans and penetration tests to identify potential weaknesses and recommend remediation actions.
  8. Communicate security risks and incidents to relevant stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  9. Continuously monitor and analyze security logs and alerts to identify potential security breaches or anomalous activity.
  10. Participate in incident response planning and exercises to ensure preparedness for potential security incidents.
  11. Provide guidance and support to other team members and departments on security best practices and procedures.
  12. Document all security-related activities, including incident reports, mitigation actions, and risk assessments.
  13. Assist with the development and maintenance of security incident response plans and procedures.
  14. Collaborate with external security vendors and partners to keep abreast of the latest security threats and mitigation techniques.
  15. Participate in on-call rotation and respond to security incidents outside of regular business hours as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Understanding Of Security Principles And Best Practices: A Qualified Soc Analyst At Godaddy Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Security Principles And Industry Best Practices. This Includes Knowledge Of Network And System Security, Intrusion Detection And Prevention, Malware Analysis, And Vulnerability Management.

  • Experience With Security Tools And Technologies: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience Working With A Variety Of Security Tools And Technologies, Such As Siems, Firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems, And Endpoint Security Solutions. They Should Also Be Familiar With Security Monitoring And Analysis Tools, As Well As Threat Intelligence Platforms.

  • Knowledge Of Industry Regulations And Compliance Standards: A Soc Analyst At Godaddy Should Have A Good Understanding Of Industry Regulations And Compliance Standards, Such As Pci Dss, Hipaa, And Gdpr. They Should Also Be Able To Identify And Implement Necessary Security Controls To Ensure Compliance With These Standards.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: As A Soc Analyst, One Must Be Able To Analyze Complex Security Alerts And Incidents, And Accurately Determine The Severity And Impact Of Each Event. They Should Also Possess Strong Problem-Solving Skills To Quickly Identify And Mitigate Potential Security Threats.

  • Effective Communication And Teamwork Abilities: Effective Communication And Teamwork Are Essential For A Successful Soc Analyst At Godaddy. This Role Requires Collaboration With Other Members Of The Security Team, As Well As Effectively Communicating With Stakeholders, Such As Customers And Management, To Provide Updates On Security Incidents And Remediation Efforts.
