
Wood Products Safety Analyst
We’re looking for a passionate and driven individual to join the Georgia-Pacific team as our Wood Products Safety Analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day safety initiatives in our wood products division, while also identifying and mitigating potential safety risks. You’ll have a unique opportunity to work with industry leaders to ensure our products and processes meet the highest standards of safety and compliance.This position requires a Bachelor's degree in safety, industrial hygiene, occupational health, or a related field and at least 5 years of experience in a safety management role. You must also have a strong understanding of safety regulations and the ability to identify and resolve potential issues. Our ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day safety initiatives in the wood products division.
- Identify and mitigate potential safety risks.
- Work with industry leaders to ensure products and processes meet safety and compliance standards.
- Review and interpret safety regulations.
- Identify and resolve potential safety issues.
- Provide safety training and instruction.
- Develop and maintain safety policies and procedures.
- Manage safety programs, including hazardous materials and waste management.
- Monitor and audit safety performance.
- Keep up to date with safety regulations and best practices.
- Maintain safety records and documentation.
- Investigate and report on safety incidents.
- Develop and implement safety plans.
- Conduct safety inspections and assessments.
- Develop corrective action plans when necessary.
Bachelor's Degree In Safety
Environmental
Or Relevant Field
Certified Safety Professional (Csp) Or Occupational Safety And Health Certification Preferred
+ Years Of Safety Experience In A Manufacturing Environment
Demonstrated Understanding Of Osha And Other Safety Regulations
