Job Description

Georgia-Pacific is looking for an experienced and motivated Power and Recovery Engineer to join our team. This critical role requires a combination of technical and operational expertise to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of our power and recovery systems. The ideal candidate will have a background in power plant systems and operations, as well as strong problem-solving and communication skills. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, works well in a team environment, and is willing to take initiative and ownership of their work.To be successful in this role, the Power and Recovery Engineer must have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field and a minimum of five years of experience in a power plant or similar setting. Responsibilities:

  1. Manage all power and recovery systems operations, ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-effective results.
  2. Troubleshoot and resolve any power plant system issues.
  3. Monitor and inspect power and recovery systems for any signs of wear or damage.
  4. Develop preventative maintenance strategies and plans.
  5. Create and maintain accurate records of all power and recovery systems operations.
  6. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
  7. Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and successful operations.
  8. Maintain a valid driver’s license.
