- Review and edit technical documents for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to company standards and guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency and accuracy of technical information across all documents.
- Provide guidance and feedback to writers and subject matter experts on technical writing best practices.
- Conduct research and fact-checking to verify technical information and terminology.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards in all technical documents.
- Maintain document version control and track changes to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Develop and maintain style guides and templates for technical documentation.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders to gather necessary information for technical documents.
- Review and provide feedback on graphics, illustrations, and diagrams to enhance document clarity.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in technical writing and editing.
- Train and mentor junior technical editors and writers.
- Participate in project meetings and provide input on document requirements and timelines.
- Prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures related to technical editing.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Bachelor's Degree In English, Communications, Or A Related Field.
5+ Years Of Experience As A Technical Editor, Preferably In The Defense Or Aerospace Industry.
Strong Understanding Of Technical Writing And Editing Principles, Including Style Guides And Formatting Standards.
Excellent Attention To Detail And Ability To Identify And Correct Grammatical, Spelling, And Punctuation Errors.
Experience Using Industry-Standard Editing Software, Such As Adobe Acrobat And Microsoft Word, As Well As Version Control Systems.
