- Develop and implement material planning and scheduling strategies to ensure timely and efficient production of products.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data related to material availability, production capacity and lead times.
- Monitor inventory levels and identify potential shortages or excesses, taking proactive measures to address any issues.
- Create and maintain production schedules that align with customer demand, production capacity and material availability.
- Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
- Conduct regular analysis of production processes and update schedules to optimize efficiency and minimize costs.
- Communicate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators such as on-time delivery, inventory levels, and production efficiency.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline material planning and scheduling processes.
- Train and mentor junior material planners/schedulers to ensure adherence to best practices and company policies.
- Stay updated on industry trends and developments in supply chain management and incorporate them into processes and strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies related to material planning and scheduling.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate and prioritize production activities to meet changing customer needs.
- Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that may impact production schedules.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to promote teamwork and achieve company goals.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills
Bachelor's Degree In Supply Chain Management Or Related Field
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Material Planning And Scheduling
Strong Knowledge Of Erp Systems, Specifically Sap
Prior Experience In A Defense Or Aerospace Industry Preferred.
