  1. Manage and maintain the organization's secure communication systems, including but not limited to firewalls, virtual private networks, and intrusion detection systems.
  2. Develop and implement security policies and procedures to protect the organization's network and data.
  3. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
  4. Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend solutions.
  5. Collaborate with other departments to ensure network security is integrated into all business processes.
  6. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in secure communication technology.
  7. Provide guidance and support to junior network administrators.
  8. Respond to security incidents and conduct thorough investigations to determine root causes and prevent future occurrences.
  9. Create and maintain network documentation and diagrams.
  10. Communicate effectively with team members, management, and external vendors.
  11. Participate in the planning and implementation of new secure communication systems.
  12. Proactively identify and propose improvements to enhance the efficiency and security of the network.
  13. Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and security issues in a timely manner.
  14. Maintain a high level of confidentiality and adhere to all security policies and procedures.
  15. Attend training and conferences to continuously improve knowledge and skills.
  16. Collaborate with external vendors to ensure the organization's network is secure and meets industry standards.
  17. Act as a subject matter expert for secure communications within the organization.
  18. Provide on-call support for network emergencies.
  19. Manage and maintain network equipment and licenses.
  20. Foster a culture of security awareness and best practices among employees.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Managing And Maintaining Secure Communication Networks, Preferably In A Government Or Military Setting.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Network Security Protocols, Including Firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems, And Authentication Methods.

  • Proficiency In Implementing And Troubleshooting Network Infrastructure, Including Routers, Switches, And Virtual Private Networks (Vpns).

  • Demonstrated Ability To Lead And Mentor A Team Of Junior Network Administrators.

  • Strong Communication Skills And The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Other It Professionals And Stakeholders To Develop And Implement Secure Communication Solutions.
