  1. Manage and maintain General Dynamics' network infrastructure to ensure its reliability, security, and optimal performance.
  2. Troubleshoot and resolve network issues in a timely and efficient manner to minimize downtime.
  3. Conduct regular network audits and implement necessary updates and upgrades to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  4. Monitor network traffic and activity to identify potential security threats and proactively implement measures to mitigate risks.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain network solutions that align with business needs and objectives.
  6. Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT teams in troubleshooting network-related problems.
  7. Create and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
  8. Stay updated with the latest network technologies and trends, and make recommendations for their implementation to enhance network performance and security.
  9. Participate in on-call rotation to provide after-hours support for critical network issues.
  10. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including security protocols, to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of network data.
  11. Collaborate with vendors to procure network equipment and services and manage vendor relationships.
  12. Train and mentor junior network administrators to develop their technical skills and knowledge.
  13. Continuously monitor and evaluate network performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement optimization strategies.
  14. Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and management to provide updates on network status, issues, and projects.
  15. Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing to ensure the network's resilience in case of emergencies.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Network Administration, Preferably In A Large-Scale Enterprise Environment.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Network Infrastructure, Including Lan/Wan, Routers, Switches, Firewalls, And Wireless Networks.

  • Strong Understanding Of Network Security Principles, Including Firewalls, Vpn, And Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems.

  • Relevant Certifications Such As Cisco Certified Network Professional (Ccnp) Or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (Cissp).
