  1. Oversee the procurement of materials for the company, including identifying reliable suppliers, negotiating prices, and ensuring timely delivery.
  2. Develop and maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory management system to track all materials and supplies.
  3. Coordinate with various departments to understand their material needs and ensure timely delivery to support production processes.
  4. Monitor inventory levels and proactively identify and resolve any discrepancies or shortages.
  5. Work closely with the production team to ensure that materials are available in the right quantities and at the right time to support production schedules.
  6. Implement and maintain efficient and cost-effective storage and distribution processes for all materials.
  7. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to materials management.
  8. Train and supervise a team of material handlers to ensure they are following proper procedures and meeting performance targets.
  9. Collaborate with the finance department to develop and manage the materials budget, including forecasting future material needs and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  10. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in materials management to continuously improve processes and procedures.
  11. Communicate effectively with suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to maintain strong relationships and resolve any issues that may arise.
  12. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall materials management operations.
  13. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations related to materials handling and storage.
  14. Provide regular reports and updates to management on materials management operations, including inventory levels, budget performance, and any issues or concerns.
  15. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the materials management team and across other departments.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Materials Science, Engineering, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Materials Management Or Procurement Role.

  • Strong Understanding Of Supply Chain Management And Inventory Control Processes.

  • Experience With Material Planning And Forecasting, Including Cost Analysis And Vendor Negotiations.

  • Proficient In Microsoft Office And Material Requirements Planning (Mrp) Software.
