
Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) III

- Develop and implement security procedures and protocols to protect sensitive information and critical systems.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and risks.
- Monitor and analyze network traffic and system logs to detect and respond to security incidents.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure information security measures are integrated into all systems and processes.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest security threats and industry trends, and make recommendations for improvements to existing security measures.
- Administer and maintain security tools and software, such as firewalls, antivirus programs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Conduct security training and awareness programs for employees to promote a culture of security awareness and best practices.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all security-related inquiries and incidents.
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including policies, procedures, and incident response plans.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant security regulations and standards, such as HIPAA and GDPR.
- Participate in the development and testing of disaster recovery plans and procedures.
- Proactively identify and address potential security risks and vulnerabilities.
- Maintain and update security systems and software to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with security requirements.
- Communicate and report on security incidents, risks, and mitigation strategies to upper management.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the organization's security posture.
Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or A Related Field.
Professional Certifications Such As Cissp, Cism, Or Giac.
At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Information Systems Security, With A Focus On Developing And Implementing Security Policies And Procedures.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Security Frameworks Such As Nist, Iso 27001, And Cobit.
Strong Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Communicate Complex Security Concepts To Non-Technical Stakeholders.
