- Design and develop systems and products that prioritize safety, efficiency, and usability for end users.
- Conduct research and gather data on human behavior and cognition to inform design decisions.
- Apply principles of human factors engineering to create intuitive and user-friendly designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that user needs are met throughout the design process.
- Identify and analyze potential usability issues and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Use various testing methods, such as usability testing and focus groups, to gather feedback and make design refinements.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in human factors engineering.
- Communicate design concepts and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Work closely with project managers to ensure timelines and deliverables are met.
- Continuously evaluate and improve design processes to enhance the user experience.
- Contribute to the creation of user manuals, training materials, and other documentation.
- Collaborate with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Foster a culture of user-centered design within the company.
- Mentor and train junior human factors engineers in best practices and methodologies.
- Remain adaptable and open to feedback and suggestions for improvement.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Human Factors Engineering, User Experience Design, Or Usability Testing.
Knowledge And Experience With Human Factors Principles, Methodologies, And Tools Such As Task Analysis, Usability Testing, And Human Error Analysis.
Ability To Work Collaboratively With Cross-Functional Teams, Including Engineers, Designers, And Project Managers.
Strong Communication And Presentation Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Convey Complex Human Factors Concepts To Non-Technical Stakeholders.
